I have more than 17 years of experience in software and systems engineering. I started my professional career after finishing my undergraduate studies in 2004. Since then, I have been working in various R&D roles in the UK and in Germany and had the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of areas.
Since June 2019, I’ve been working as Chief Scientific Officer at GlobalABM Ltd, a London-based startup in the field of agent-based modelling. Prior to that, I was a Researcher at Bosch Corporate Research in Germany on topics surrounding the future “Economy of Things” on topics involving simulation and analysis of complex decentralised systems by means of agent-based and game-theoretic modelling, the design of stable decentralised coordination mechanisms, and the application of Blockchain and multiagent technology to achieve consensus and cooperation in decentralised systems.
From 2010-2015, I was working as a Research and Software Engineer at Sandtable Ltd., a London-based company specialising in agent-based social behaviour simulation. My main responsibilities were the development and maintenance of the core simulation engine with a special focus on performance, scalability and software quality, as well as research in different areas such as knowledge representation, behaviour modelling, simulation metamodeling, and verification.
